Presenters
Hope is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless of how it turns out.
Václav Havel, Disturbing the Peace
Matt and Molly
The two young presenters of the English version of the e-learning series are Molly Emmett and Matthew James Burt. Both of them had been living in Prague for several years now. Molly is American, Matt is British, so the English video lessons offer a natural mixture of British and American English. We believe that involvement of real foreigners living in the Czech Republic helps young foreign learners to understand better the story of Václav Havel's life and his fight for democracy that went far beyond the borders of the Czech Republic.
Emma and Yemi
In the Czech version the lessons anre presented by two well known personalities in the Czech show business.
Emma Smetana is a Czech journalist, but also a popular singer. Her mother Monika Pajerová served during the 1989 Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia as the official spokesperson for University Strike Committee and was a founding member of the Civic Forum.
Yemi A. D. is a celebrated choreographer, director, performer, correspondent, and artist.
